Your Teddy Bear’s Picnic Box is a treasure chest of possibilities, a launchpad for boundless role-play and discovery. To get your journey started, here are the three special hands-on projects included in your box. Think of these as the final, cozy chapters in your Great Garden Picnic Storybook—but the real magic happens when you create your own!

1. The Teddy Bear’s Picnic
First, let’s set the scene! This dry sensory adventure challenges you to save the feast from some uninvited guests.

What you'll need from your box: Your sensory dry mix, play tray components (rug, bear, basket, cake), tongs, and the cheeky ants!

What you'll need from home: A tray or dish to contain the mix.

How to Play:

Set the Picnic: Empty the rice mix into a play tray. Encourage your little one to lay out the rug and place the bear, basket, and cake to set the perfect scene.

The Ant Invasion: Oh no! Toss in the ants! They’ve heard there is cake and have come to investigate.

Save the Picnic: Challenge your little explorer to use the tongs to pick out those cheeky ants before they eat the picnic! This is a brilliant way to build fine motor skills while giggling at the "emergency."

2. Just Right Porridge Play
Time to make breakfast! Goldilocks isn't the only one who loves a good bowl of porridge.

What you'll need from your box: Your Three Bears Porridge mix, bowls, mixing sticks, your vial of dried blueberries and a strawberry to top it off.

What you'll need from home: A splash of water and your imagination.

How to Play:

Mix it Up: Divide the porridge mix into the bowls. Add a splash of water to each bowl and invite your child to give them a good stir. Is it too thick? Too runny? Or just right?

Serve the Bears: Decorate the bowls with the dried blueberries provided. Who gets the special strawberry? Mama bear, Papa bear or Baby bear?

Sensory Science: Watch how the texture changes as the oats absorb the water and the magic ingredients thicken the mix. It’s a messy, mushy, wonderful sensory experience that babies and toddlers especially love to squish!

3. Honey & Cocoa Bear Bakeshop
Open up your own bakery in the woods! What can you smell? Mmmmmm... Chocolate!

What you'll need from your box: Your Brown Bear & Honey Explorers Putty, bear cutter, and stamper.

What you'll need from home: A clean flat surface for rolling.

How to Play:

Scent Discovery: Pick your favourite putty or blend the two colours together. Encourage your child to give it a sniff—can they identify the sweet chocolate scent?

Bear Makers: Use the bear cutter to shape some beary friendly little playmates. Use the stamper to give them details or make "cookies" for the picnic.

Imaginative Play: Set up a little shop. "Hello Mr. Bear, would you like a honey cookie or a cocoa cookie?" This is wonderful for developing social skills and vocabulary.

Play Safe, Explorers: Your supervision is key! Our kits often contain small treasures that can be a choking hazard. These are always packed in a separate, sealed bag for you to decide if they are right for your explorer.
