1. The Fizzing Rainbow Reef: A Spectacle of Colour and Sound!

Get ready for an explosion of colour and wonder as you bring your own coral reef to life! This activity is a sensory delight, combining vibrant hues with exciting fizzing reactions.

• What you'll need from your box: Your Taste Safe Adventure Fizz Powder, 3 vials of magic coral colour, 3 cups, and 3 droppers.

• What you'll need from home: A tray or dish to play in.

How to Play:

• Prep Your Colours: Carefully empty one vial of your Magic Coral Colour into each of your three cups and top them up with water. You've just created your liquid rainbow!

• Lay the Seabed: Generously sprinkle the Adventure Fizz Powder evenly across the bottom of your tray. This is your blank canvas, waiting to erupt with life!

• Start the Fizz! Now for the magic! Let your little explorer use the droppers to squirt the coloured water over the powder. Watch in amazement as your reef bubbles, foams, and fizzes to life with a spectacular show of colour and sound!

• Quick cleanup: Just a quick rinse of your tray and cups after your adventure is complete.

2. Coral Reef Fishing Expedition: A Test of Skill and Focus!

Put your little explorer's dexterity to the test with this engaging fishing challenge! The shimmering waters hide colourful fish, just waiting to be caught.

• What you'll need from your box: Your adorable Reef fish, the shimmering vial of colour, and handy little tongs.

• What you'll need from home: A deep tray, dish, or bowl filled ¾ with water.

How to Play:

• Create the Shimmering Sea: Empty the vial of shimmering colour into your bowl or dish of water. Watch the water transform into a magical, glistening ocean.

• Release the Fish! Gently set your colourful fishies free into their new watery home. Now, they're ready to swim!

• Go Fishing! Using your handy little tongs, challenge your little one to try and grab the fish before they all swim away. It’s a wonderful way to develop fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination!

• Pro-Tip for Past Explorers! Did you get last month’s box?! Why not use the colourful scoop from your Sandy Shores Expedition as a fishing net for a little extra fun, exploration, and adventure!

• Quick cleanup: Just a quick rinse of your tray and fish after your expedition.

Every coral reef is a natural masterpiece, a sculpture of life. In your box, you'll find the ingredients to mould, shape, and create a permanent piece of your own underwater world that will last a lifetime!

Get ready to create your own colourful coral creation with this wonderful, hands-on activity. Here’s your guide to the magic:

What you’ll need from your box: Your super mouldable Explorers Putty, Colourful “Coral” Pasta, and Your Little Explorers Box (to use as the base for your creation!).

What you’ll need from home: Nothing else! Everything you need is right here!

How to Create Your Reef:

• Lay the Ocean Floor: Take your Explorers Putty and press it firmly into the base of the Little Explorers Box tray. Spread it out wide to create the perfect, sturdy seabed for your vibrant coral reef to grow upon.

• Grow the Coral: Now, grab your beautiful, colourful “Coral” pasta! Press the pieces down into the putty, standing them tall and upright to build a dazzling, vibrant coral reef that reaches for the imaginary sun!

  

• Explore the Deep: Unleash your creativity! Use an ocean-themed cookie cutter (if you have one, or simply your hands and imagination!) to press fun sea shapes and patterns into the putty. If you have any little reef fish toys (perhaps from the fishing expedition?), invite them to swim through your new coral creation for some deep-sea pretend play!

• Keep Your Creation: Want to show off your incredible masterpiece? Simply leave the entire tray out to air-dry for a day or two. Once the putty is completely firm and hard, you can proudly pop your permanent coral reef on a shelf to display your amazing artistry!
